A Radical View: American States Shouldn't Fail

Will the Last One to Leave Michigan Please Turn Out the Lights?
In 1950, Michigan was one of the most prosperous states in America. There were 1,800,000 people in Detroit, and Detroiters enjoyed the highest per capita income of any large city in the country.

Today, Michigan is an economic basket case. Its unemployment rate is a crushing 7.2 percent -- the highest in the nation. And to make matters worse, Michigan taxes are higher than the national average.

So with no jobs and high taxes, it's no surprise that Michiganders are going elsewhere to live and work. Its population is declining so much that the wry joke in Michigan is that the last one to leave please turn out the lights.

But there is a way forward for Michigan. It's not complicated, and it's not theoretical. It's a simple story, taken from Michigan's recent history, of government in the world that works.

When former Gov. John Engler (R.) was leading Michigan, its economic outlook was much different. Gov. Engler brought Michigan to 3.2 percent unemployment, the lowest unemployment rate in the state's history. And he did so while cutting taxes and controlling spending.

And Gov. Engler did something else that was critical to Michigan's prosperity: During his time as governor, Michigan regained its AAA bond rating. The reason this is critical is because a state's bond rating determines how much its taxpayers pay on the state's debt. The better the rating, the less taxpayers pay. The less taxpayers pay, the more money is available for tax cuts or other priorities.

It's the virtual circle of prosperity of the world that works: Lower taxes means more jobs means higher revenue from a bigger economy means controlled spending means a better bond rating. And a better bond rating means a lower cost of debt which means more money available for lower taxes which means the creation of even more jobs.

That's the world that works. Now we get to the world that fails.

In 11 short months after gaining power, Democrats in Michigan managed to lose the AAA bond rating. As I told my audience of Michigan Republicans gathered on Mackinac Island last weekend, it was like a teenager getting a credit card and not realizing that he has to pay.

So, today, Michigan is in the virtual circle of the world that fails: It's losing jobs, losing people and losing money, and now it has to pay even more to service its debt.

And, predictably in the world that fails, the solution that Democrats in Lansing are proposing is a huge tax increase to close the gap between the state's higher costs and declining revenues.

Higher taxes are precisely what Michigan does not need right now. So far, the battle over the tax increase has been a fairly partisan one -- with a Democratic majority in the legislature and a Democratic governor pushing for the taxes, and Republicans, under the leadership of state party Chairman Saul Anuzis and others, pushing for lower spending.

But this doesn't have to be a partisan battle. The guiding principles of the world that works aren't red versus blue. They're red, white and blue. Michigan simply needs to do what we know works and have the courage to carry it out.

Womens Rights in Iran, Real ID, and US military in Korea

Women's Rights in Iran
Let's takes a real hard look at Islam in general and Iran in particular concerning womens rights. When the radical muslims took over Iran in 1979 they instituted the following:

*The country's progressive family laws were suspended,

*Disallowed female judges,

*Strongly enforced the wearing of the hijab,

*Lowered the marriage age to nine,

*Permitted polygamy,

*Gave fathers the right to decide who their daughters could marry,

*Permitted unilateral divorce for men but not for women,

*And gave fathers sole custody of children in case of divorce.

Overall, Iran's theocracy has been a disaster on multiple fronts, including women's rights. And I cannot even speak about the ghastly deaths homosexuals face in Iran daily. And yet most leftist in America fear a Christian theocratic takeover of the government; an absurdity as most Christians just want to be left alone and not have left-wing viewpoints shoved down their throats. People need to wake up and realize how dangerous muslims really are. And if muslims are getting bad press, it's because they are causing it themselves. Hell, muslims cannot get along with any of their neighbors: they attack Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, and Jews in every country they share them with. And it is not a modern occurrence; look up Arab muslims in northern Sudan attacking black Christians in southern Sudan in the 1970s for example.

Just so you know.....

The Idaho and Washington Spat: Real ID
States are rebelling against a new federal regulation that requires US citizens to have a federally approved ID card. The Real ID Act directs all states to recertify driver's license and identification card holders.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The compliance date is May 11, 2008. While the Act does not contain penalties for states that reuse to comply, citizens without an officially sanctioned ID will face bureaucratic snafus whenever they travel by plane, apply for government services, or open a bank account. The new cards store information digitally, including name, address, birth date, sex, ID number, and a digital photograph. Six states--Idaho, New Hampshire, Washington, Montana, Arkansas, and Maine--have informed the federal government that they will not comply with Real ID.

Boise

What surprised me is that both conservative Idaho and ultra-liberal Washington state are refusing compliance, and I know exactly why these two diametrically opposed states are doing it. Idaho has a long-term distrust of the federal government and too many times Idaho citizens have been killed by botched "operations" and reckless federal agents who shoot women with a baby in her arms (ie Randy Weaver). Idaho has opposed federal interference in its affairs due to federal Constitutional restraints that the federal government is ignoring (ie states rights). Washington state however is opposing Real ID for a totally different reason. One of the so-called "open secrets" in the West is that Washington state gives drivers licenses to any illegal immigrant that asks, without any background check whatsoever. Washington is just in it for the money, so if say, 30% of all its drivers licenses were found to be faulty, Olympia would have no recourse other than to revoke those licenses. Enormous numbers of illegal Mexicans briefly leave California and come to Washington state to get a drivers license, which California has to recognize due to the full faith clause in the Constitution (article 4).

I am personally not for a federal ID card. It's un-Constitutional (tramples on states rights) and un-American (you won't be able to travel or open a bank account without one). I do understand that the federal government is trying to crack down on false IDs that states unwittingly give to terrorists (10 of the 16 hijackers on 911 had legal drivers licenses) but the Real ID goes way too far, and scarily sounds like the Biblical 666 Mark of the Beast too boot (you cannot buy or sell without one). EEK!

US Unilaterally Eases Tensions with North Korea
Two weeks ago the MSM (now known as the Lamestream Media to us bloggers ;) made a big deal of the so-called spat between President Bush and the South Korean President during the APEC Summit in Indonesia. There was no news there, however the real news is the radical redeployment of US troops in South Korea away from the DMZ and far to the rear near Pusan and Taegu. For decades now US military forces were poised on the border with North Korea, mainly for use as a "trip-wire" defense, meaning that North Korean forces would have to attack US forces if they wanted to invade our democratic ally, South Korea. While this sort of defense posture is questionable at best (nearly 40,000 artillery pieces have been moved forward by NK forces and are within range of our troops) a massive change in strategy by former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfield is being put into practice. Three fundamental reasons were discussed before this change in military posture was implemented: it was critical to get the US troops out of range of North Korean artillery, moving the forces back provides a defense-in-depth and US forces wouldn't be overrun in the first few hours of a North Korean attack, and finally it had a similar goal of easing tension along the DMZ with the movement of tens of thousands of troops away from the front lines, signaling to the government in Pyongyang that the USA was not going to sneak attack North Korea anytime soon, especially with its main forces hundreds of miles to the rear. Overall, this is the best thing that has come out of Donald Rumsfield tour as SecDef, and will be a stabilizing move on the Korean Peninsula.

When Blacks Attack: Jena, Norfolk, and Denver

A year and a half ago this author was attacked by three black teenagers in downtown Denver. I was minding my own business, speaking on a payphone in public, when three black teens began savagely attacking me. I am a gay man and have never been beaten in this manner; an attack that gave me a concussion and damaged my hearing (causing me to loose my sense of balance for a week). I also lost two teeth because of the beating. The police interviewed me later and said that I was the third attack of the night, that a group of black teens (who were found out later to have come from Louisiana and were housed in hotels from the Katrina mess) were randomly attacking whites on the street. I even lost my job because I was in the hospital and unable to come to work. So why do groups of blacks attack whites? I don't know but I do know that my very first boyfriend was black and I wasn't anti-black until this incident. Hopefully people will begin to speak about black racism against whites, Asians, and latinos.

How Direct Democracy will save the USA

DIRECT DEMOCRACY
A long-standing problem of democracy is the role of money in the political system. In America, many attempts at reform have been mounted but all have failed. Now, a new political concept should be tried: direct democracy.

Some political offices (usually in large legislatures rather than senior judicial or executive positions) should no longer be filled by popular vote. Instead, one eligible citizen is chosen at random (like serving jury duty) to fill each office. He holds office for one fixed term, receives the same (enormous) pay that a politician does, and then returns to private life. Office holders are supported by qualified governmental staffs, helping to advise them on technical matters.

This system could easily be tried in the lower house of the Colorado Congress. It is a natural evolution of representative democracy and should be tried on the local level and if successful, the House in the US Congress should be converted to this system as well. Healthy democracy comes from the general public, but when political elites are as out of touch with the general population, that becomes a very serious issue indeed. We have moved into the Information Age and we need to start living like it, instead of acting like a bunch of meek sheep. Otherwise, you will certainly be sheared one day ;)

CYBERDEMOCRACY
Politicians should be able to receive clear and concise direction from their constituents. Previously this has been done through letter-writing and "call your Senator" campaigns, which are only slightly effective. Unfortunately, many lawmakers do not want such "interference" in their governing but such elitist attitudes must now be curbed since the elites and the general populace are literally out of synch with one another. The people's voices must now be heard. The creation of a specific online voting booth that politicians can access at any given time will show just what the average citizen is thinking on any given piece of legislation. States should encourage once-a-month voting on local issues by asking citizens to take a stronger role in the government. This can easily be done by using the Internet. It is critically important that politicians her and understand what their constituents want, otherwise their will be a substantial fracture within this country between the average citizen and the "elites".

JENA6 DISINFORMATION (thank you MSM!)
1)The so-called "white tree" at Jena High, often reported to be the domain of only white students, was nothing of the sort, according to teachers and school administrators; students of all races, they say, congregated under it at one time or another.

2)Two nooses _ not three _ were found dangling from the tree. Beyond being offensive to blacks, the nooses were cut down because black and white students "were playing with them, pulling on them, jump-swinging from them, and putting their heads through them," according to a black teacher who witnessed the scene.

3)There was no connection between the September noose incident and December attack, according to Donald Washington, an attorney for the U.S. Justice Department in western Louisiana, who investigated claims that these events might be race-related hate crimes.

4)The three youths accused of hanging the nooses were not suspended for just three days _ they were isolated at an alternative school for about a month, and then given an in-school suspension for two weeks.

5)The six-member jury that convicted Bell was, indeed, all white. However, only one in 10 people in LaSalle Parish is African American, and though black residents were selected randomly by computer and summoned for jury selection, none showed up.

England Politics Swerves Hard-Left with Gordon Govt

England's Gordon Brown's Cabinet seen as Radical Leftist Coalition

Seventeen Ways to be a Good Liberal
I don't know who wrote this, but it looked good.

1. You have to be against capital punishment, but support abortion on demand.
2. You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.
3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens are more of a threat than nuclear weapons technology in the hands of Iran or Chinese and North Korean communists.
4. You have to believe that there was no art before federal funding.
5. You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical changes in the earth's climate and more affected by soccer moms driving SUV'S.
6. You have to believe that gender roles are artificial, but being homosexual is natural.
7. You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding.
8. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th-graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
9. You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature, but PETA activists do.
10. You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.
11. You have to believe the NRA is bad because it supports certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good because it supports certain parts of the Constitution.
12. You have to believe that taxes are too low, but ATM fees are too high.
13. You have to believe that Margaret Sanger and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, or Abraham Lincoln.
14. You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides are not.
15. You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.
16. You have to believe that homosexual parades displaying drag queens and transvestites should be constitutionally protected, and manger scenes at Christmas should be illegal.
17. You have to believe that this message is a part of a vast, right-wing conspiracy.

Assault On Religious Liberty
In a recent report, I told you about a case in New Jersey that could test the limits of religious liberty and political correctness. In the case, a Methodist camp had turned down the request of a lesbian couple to hold its same-sex “marriage” ceremony on the campgrounds. The couple filed a discrimination complaint with the state, which launched an investigation. Yesterday New Jersey officials decided to punish the group by revoking its tax-exempt status. This is a terrible blow to religious liberty, but it could get much worse. A bill currently being considered in Congress, called the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), would grant special protections to homosexuals at the workplace. Soon, churches and religious institutions across the country could face revocation of their tax-exempt status and, for many places of worship, the prospect of having to shut down if they refuse to ignore biblical teaching on homosexuality. Between hate crime laws and the new ENDA legislation, homosexuality is slowly being elevated to “most-favored-lifestyle” status, while religious liberty is eroded.

The Mexican Flag in America
A student took down a Mexican flag from a flagpole outside Scholes Hall at the University of New Mexico, tore it and took it to the Air Force ROTC office, police said. A summons was issued for Peter Lynch, 30, by the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court for criminal damage to property, said Lt. Pat Davis, spokesman for UNM Police. UNMPD investigated the vandalism as a potential hate crime, but witnesses from the ROTC office told police it was not a racially motivated crime, Davis said.

"He was frustrated a foreign flag was flown without an American flag nearby," he said. "We're basically investigating it on witness statements." "This sort of incident hurts everyone," Cheo Torres said. "It's something that you don't expect to see at a place like the University of New Mexico where we celebrate diversity." Whether the vandalism was racially motivated or not, it was offensive, especially to the Hispanic community, Martinez-Purson said.

The University won't tolerate that kind of behavior, President David Schmidly said. "It's inexcusable to desecrate a flag," he said. "I'm not going to be very pleasant to deal with on this issue." What makes the situation worse is that it was a Mexican flag, Schmidly said. "For God's sake, New Mexico was part of Mexico at one time," he said. "There's tremendous ties, and we have a large population of Hispanics that live in our state and many of them have relatives and connections to Mexico."

*So, Liberals say we can burn the US flag, but you cannot get rid of the Mexican flag on US territory? Riiiiight.

Something Stinks in Yakima

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

What's Happening in Yakima?

So exactly why did a small town in central Washington state make the Top 50 Most Dangerous Cities to Live In list? I can tell you why, because the vast majority of that city is now run by illegal aliens. Imported to work the nearby agriculture base, these "hard-working" Mexicans have completely overrun the town. In fact, my family lives just 50 miles from Yakima and a woman I once worked with in Washington said she lived in Yakima and she had to constantly dye her hair so that the local (brown-haired) Mexican women wouldn't attack her. Imagine that! You have to dye your hair so people won't attack you, in your own country! But we cannot discriminate against these "poor, honest, hard working people", right? Riiiight.

Mark Udall of Colorado
Congressman Mark Udall (D) has always been on the opposite side of logic since his inception as a member of the US federal Congress. A radical lefty, he often voted for the most extreme positions and it has always amazed me how someone as insane as this guy could continually get re-elected. He even voted against a law (the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act) for taking under-aged girls out of state for an abortion after one such girl died in Wyoming and her parents didn't even know where she was. In an age where you cannot even give an aspirin to a kid in school without parental permission, it is clearly ridiculous to take kids out of state without parent notification for someone as serious as an abortion. He also voted against the federal Partial Birth Abortion ban, the idiot! Before he left his office this week Udall also fought against drilling for the 800 billion barrels of oil in the Colorado, Wyoming, Utah area (the Roan Platueau). I guess he wants to keep his "environmental" qualifications intact so he can run for the US Senate, at the expense of the security of the entire country. BTW, that area in which the 800 billion barrels of oil lies, it is one giant vast desert wasteland where even small animals have a hard time surviving. Save the sand drifts, Mark, but don't save the babies!!

Zero Population Growth in China
Doctors in China have discovered 26 sewing needles embedded in the body of a 31-year-old woman. They think they were inserted into Luo Cuifen's body when she was a baby by grandparents upset she was not a boy. Some of these needles have penetrated vital organs, such as the lungs, liver and kidneys. One has even broken into three pieces in the woman's brain. The needles were discovered only when Ms Luo went to hospital complaining of blood in her urine. She was given a routine X-ray, which revealed the needles. Up until then she had been in good health.

A team of 23 doctors, including five from the United States and Canada, are debating how best to remove the needles at the Richland International Hospital in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province. Xu Mei, the chief doctor at the hospital, told the BBC that removing the needles would be a long, complicated procedure requiring several operations. The first of those is expected to take place next week when seven needles will be removed. The hospital is doing the first operation, which will cost 170,000 yuan ($22,500, £11,200), for free. But Ms Luo, from rural Songming County in Yunnan Province, will have to raise money to fund the other operations. Doctors believe the needles were inserted into the woman when she was just a few days old by her grandparents, who they believe were disappointed that she was not a boy and hoped she would die from the treatment. But there is no way to confirm this theory, as the grandparents are now dead. In many rural areas boys were - and still are - valued more highly than girls. One reason is that they can carry on the family name.

Note: I believe this is a side effect of "Zero Population Growth" movement and the use of the Government to control the growth of the population... Yet another reason to oppose such movements.

Sudden Jihad Syndrome?

Another Case Of SJS?
Did you hear about Houssein Zorkot? Unless you live in the Detroit area, I suspect not. Zorkot, a medical student at Wayne State University in Michigan, was arrested on September 8th in a Dearborn park wearing camouflage makeup, black clothing and carrying an AK-47 assault rifle. According to Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch, Zorkot had a website with pictures of Ayatollah Khomeini and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and a lot of propaganda from Hezbollah. But on the day of his arrest, Zorkot added a photo of a soldier holding a rifle with this caption underneath the photo, “The Start of My Personal Jihad (in the US).” Fortunately, Mr. Zorkot was captured before he became the latest victim of SJS or “Sudden Jihad Syndrome.” For those not familiar with SJS, there have been several incidents across the country in recent years where violent Islamists have attacked Americans, seemingly at random. We are then told by media or relatives of the accused that the attacker was “mentally ill.” That explanation is accepted, and the story goes away. Sooner or later, I am convinced we will discover the cause of “Sudden Jihad Syndrome.” Let’s hope a cure does not elude us.

Pushing Polygamy
Last week, I reported that the California legislature had passed a bill redefining marriage by replacing the words “a man and a woman” with “any two persons” in the state’s marriage laws. But why stop there? The New York Times reported last week that opposition to polygamy in some areas seems to be waning. As the trial of polygamist cult leader Warren Jeffs moves forward, the Times wrote “…an intermingling of cultures has begun to bubble up here, opening hearts and minds in greater understanding, if not quite tolerance.” One polygamy advocated noted, “If it’s legal in some states for people of the same sex to get married, why is it not legal to marry more than one wife?” Good question.

You may recall that during Canada’s debate on legalizing homosexual “marriage,” a special commission was asked to explore the ramifications of redefining marriage to include same-sex unions. In its report back to the government, the commission actually recommended that Canada’s polygamy ban be repealed too. Now the issue may be coming to a head. Last month a prosecutor in Canada asked the courts there to issue an advisory ruling on the ban, because he is afraid that if he tried to prosecute a case similar to Jeffs’, he might well lose.

We know polygamy is being practiced in this country by Muslim immigrants, and the imam of the Al-Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn was recently quoted saying, “If a man can have a hundred girlfriends, and it’s legal, I don’t say you can’t have more than one wife.” Militant homosexual activists say we must allow men to “marry” other men, and polygamists and Islamists say, “Why not a man and three wives?” What do you say?

Sally Field, Meet Miriam Farahat
I don’t know how many of you happened to tune in to the Emmy Awards last night. But if you did, you probably heard actress Sally Field doing her best portrayal of Cindy Sheehan, screeching through an anti-war rant, saying, “And, let’s face it, if the mothers ruled the world, there would be no (expletive) wars in the first place.” Poor Sally. Like Sheryl Crow, who told us, “The best way to solve problems is not to have enemies,” Sally just doesn’t “get it.”

Not all mothers weep when their children go off to war and die in battle. Some actually cheer. How else can you explain Miriam Farahat, who raised her six sons to be homicide bombers for Hamas? At least three of them are now dead, and she is an elected member of the Hamas parliament. Known throughout Gaza as Um Nidal, or “the mother of the struggle,” Farahat is featured in a Hamas recruitment video telling one 17 year-old son to attack Israelis and “telling him not to return.”

How do you explain Fatima Zak? The pregnant mother of eight children was arrested along with her niece in May by Israeli intelligence for planning a double homicide bombing.

Yes, it would be nice if America did not have enemies and didn’t have to fight wars. But we were reminded on September 11, 2001, that there are some really bad people out there who want to harm us. We have been reminded about that reality in the years since, with the bombings in London, Madrid, Bali and Beslan. Yes, war is terrible. The sacrifices are hard, and good people get hurt and many die. But, if Sally Field doesn’t want to fight and win this war, she had better fit herself for a burqa and get ready for the next Dark Age. As tragic and terrible as war is, losing Western Civilization to this cruel enemy would be immoral.

Proof: Blacks Commit More Crimes

When the major networks collaborate to give most Americans what amounts to propaganda, it's time for a change. Take for example the spate of news coverage of the black woman who was abducted and raped in West Virginia. It so happens that 6 white people were involved in the case, which has received major news coverage for the last week, apparently proving that whites really are the vicious racist haters that the mainstream media thinks they are. However, a more vicious case of abduction and rape has been literally buried by the major media, only because the perpetrators are black and the victims were white. The victims (Channon Christian, 21 and Christopher Newsom, 23) were abducted, assaulted, raped, and murdered by four black men and a black woman but most of the mainstream media is refusing to even air any of this information. An indictment naming the defendants on nearly 50 counts of kidnapping, robbery, gang-rape, murder and theft alleges the victims were abducted, assaulted and tortured repeatedly over a period – probably of days – before being shot and killed. Court records do indicate Christian and Newsom initially were the targets of a carjacking in January, but ended up being held hostage, beaten and raped. Records report Newsom eventually was shot and killed and his burned body was found dumped near some railroad tracks not far from Davidson's home. Records released early in the investigation showed Christian was strangled, her body wrapped in plastic bags and left in a trash can in the home. The grand jury indictment does, however, allege that Christian was raped vaginally, orally and anally and Newsom was raped anally, clearly indicative of an extreme level of violence in the case.

Yet since the criminals are black there is a news blackout on the entire event, with most of the information being spread via the Internet. Media outlets in Denver, Colorado (my place of residence) also deliberately and routinely block information on criminals if they are black or Hispanic, even if those criminals are on the lamb and still being sought by the police. In the past, descriptions of wanted criminals were dispersed so that the public could help in their abduction as well as stay safe, but today the PC police make sure that black and Hispanic criminals are not described if they are wanted. An absurd and counter-racist agenda that will surely kill more people than should happen.

Has anyone realized that the most dangerous cities in America aren't the poorest, they are the ones with large black minorities or solid black majorities? The list of the most dangerous cities in America came out this week and majority-black cities dominate the list:

Atlanta, GA
Baltimore, MD
Birmingham, AL
Camden, NJ
Cincinnati, OH
Cleveland, OH
Compton, CA
Detroit, MI
Flint, MI
Gary, IN
Kansas City, MO
Memphis, TN
Oakland, CA
Richmond, CA
Richmond, VA
St. Louis, MO
Trenton, NJ
Washington, DC
Youngstown, OH

It has gotten so bad that the city of Philadelphia is seeking 10,000 citizens to patrol the city streets. The city's embattled police chief, acknowledging that police alone cannot quell a run of deadly violence, has called on 10,000 black men to patrol the streets to reduce crime. Philadelphia, the nation's sixth-largest city, has nearly 1.5 million residents, 44 percent of them black. It has notched 294 homicides this year. More than 80 percent of the slayings involve handguns, and most involve young black males. Activists applauded the efforts but said they fear the volunteers will find it dangerous to patrol their home turf. "In their own neighborhoods, with the 'Don't snitch' mentality, they're kind of putting themselves in harm's way, because there are going to be people who disagree with what they're doing," DeRussy said.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The real secret here is the lack of information being put out by public media outlets like TV, radio, and print media. If you look at the graphs below you can see that the majority of crime is committed by blacks in white areas, while areas like the "Black Belt" in the South there is little prosecuted crime because blacks allow their fellow blacks to get away with random crime.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

It is also shocking to note that the "most segregated" cities in America have extremely high crime rates and almost every single one of those cities made it into the top 25 most crime-ridden cities list posted this week on the Web. The "least segregated" also had the least amount of crime; gee do you see a pattern here?

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

And it isn't poverty that cause crime, "black culture" passively allows or actively encourages crime (gang initiation and gang violence are celebrated). This includes heinous crimes like "dogfighting". In fact, black crime is getting so bad that Senator Biden of Delaware is seeking to get felons the right to vote back because his state had so many black criminals that it was becoming a serious problem in getting people to vote.

The New A-10
The new A-10C is headed for Iraq and Afghanistan, as the first of the new models became available last month. That's because the U.S. A-10 "Warhog" ground attack aircraft is so popular with ground troops that even the air force brass took note of it. So they speeded up the plan to upgrade the electronics of the aircraft. The A-10 can fly low and slow, and is designed, and armored, to survive lots of ground fire. The troops trust the A-10 more than the F-16, or any other aircraft used for supporting the ground troops. The new goodies for the A-10C equip the pilot with the same targeting and fire control gadgets the latest fighters have. The new A-10C cockpit has all the spiffy color displays and easy to use controls. The basic A-10 is a three decade old design, so the new stuff is quite spectacular in comparison. New commo gear is installed as well, allowing A-10 pilots to share pix and vids with troops on the ground. The A-10 can now use smart bombs, making it a do-it-all aircraft for troops support. While newly equipped A-10s are showing up this year, it will take five years to upgrade all 350 aircraft in service. Beyond that, the air force is upgrading the engines and structures of the 1970s era aircraft. All the upgrades will cost about $13 million per aircraft. The air force has been trying to retire the ugly, and elderly, aircraft for over a decade. But the A-10s are just too damn effective, and popular, when there's actually a war on.

Who Is Afraid Of Fox News?
Recently, the top Democrat candidates for president pulled out of a debate sponsored by Fox News, withdrawing because they believe, as John Edwards said, that Fox News has “a clear and long history of bias against Democrats.” The pull out appeased the party’s leftwing fringe, but it was a bad political decision for two reasons. First, Fox News is hands down the most-watched cable news channel, and by shunning it, Democrats are ignoring millions of voters. For proof, we now know that this week’s Republican debate featured on Fox News was the highest-rated, most-watched debate of the year, with 3.14 million viewers. Second, at a time when the presidential candidates are doing all they can to convince voters that they can be tough with America’s enemies, the Democrats’ avoidance of Fox News conveys not toughness but fear. If you cannot stand up to Brit Hume, can you stand up to Al Qaeda? It’s a good question, but the Democrats’ refusal to debate on Fox News may have as much to do with their fear of the leftwingnetroots” as it does fear of being asked difficult questions by unfawning Fox questioners.

Georgia Attacked by Russian Bioweapons
With tensions between Moscow and Tbilisi on the rise after a Russian missile reportedly hit Georgian territory without detonating, the Associated Press reports that Russian General Staff Chief Yuri Baluyevsky has rejected Georgian accusations. The Georgian government says radar data proves Russian jets violated its airspace on August 6th and fired a missile aimed at a Georgian radar installation. “I’m convinced that it was a provocation by Georgia... a provocation against the Russian peacekeepers and Russia as a whole,” Baluyevsky said while visiting China. Georgia’s first deputy defense minister, Levan Nikoleishvili, called Baluyevsky’s statement “sheer nonsense.” Russia has accused Georgia of dumping diseased swine corpses in the Kodori River, which runs through Georgia’s Russian-backed breakaway region of Abkhazia to the Black Sea, Agence France-Presse reports. “It is unacceptable to throw corpses of dead animals in the Kodori River... which given its consequences, is equivalent to carrying out biological terrorism,” Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor said in a statement.

Sidewalks for Women only
Saudi Arabia's religious police are insisting that authorities of Medina, one of Islam's holiest cities, should build separate sidewalks for women, the Kuwaiti al-Qabas newspaper reported Friday. The country's Committee for the Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, tasked with enforcing Sharia law, believes men and women should not be allowed to mix on the streets of the Islam's second holiest place, where the Prophet Muhammad is buried. The clerical police, or Mutaween, are authorized to arrest unrelated men and women caught socializing, anyone suspected of being homosexual or a prostitute, and to enforce Islamic dress codes.

Just how dangerous are Leftists?

Anti-war protester can't find soldier, kills civilian with axe instead
Sep 11 12:52 PM US/Eastern by TOBY STERLING

AMSTERDAM, Netherlands (AP) - A U.S. citizen has confessed to using an axe to kill a Dutch student after failing to find a soldier to attack, his lawyer said Tuesday. The suspect, Carlos Hartmann, 41, of Tecumseh, Mich., has confessed to the Sept. 8 killing on a train platform in the southern city of Roosendaal, defence lawyer Peter Gremmen said. Gremmen said Hartmann wanted to punish the Netherlands for its support of the war in Iraq. Hartmann appeared before a judge Tuesday and was ordered held for another two weeks for investigation. "He hates soldiers, and says that the army kills people, so it would be legitimate if he were also to kill someone . . . from the American military - or from its NATO allies," Gremmen said in a telephone interview.

When he failed to find a soldier at the Roosendaal train station, "he got such a crazy, disturbed idea that he killed a civilian," Gremmen said. Hartmann did not attempt to escape and was arrested shortly after the killing. Dutch prosecutors confirmed that the suspect had confessed but did not identify him or his victim, in keeping with Dutch practice. Gremmen said Hartmann has lived in the Netherlands since 2002, supporting himself with English editing work for a Japanese company, which he could do by computer, and that he had no fixed address. The victim, identified as Thijs Geers, was waiting for a train and had no connection with the suspect or the military. Online condolence registers in the Netherlands were flooded with messages of sympathy for him and his family. BN/De Stem quoted a witness who asked to remain anonymous as describing Hartmann as striking the victim in the back of the head with the axe.

The single person to blame for 911 is....

Jamie Gorelick
A massive cover-up of the 911 tragedy continues by hiding the most important document that could have prevented the 911 disaster: a 1995 memo from Clinton administration Deputy Attorney General Jamie Gorelick that the 9/11 investigation that covered up the now notorious "wall" she erected that prevented intelligence and law enforcement agencies from cooperating in the war on terror. During the Richard Nixon Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Central Intelligence Agency were used to spy on Nixon's domestic political critics and as a result the Democrats hamstrung both the FBI and CIA by insuring this "wall" was enforced by Clinton officials.

In June 1995, U.S. Attorney for New York's Southern District Mary Jo White warned the Justice Department that Gorelick's prohibition against intelligence sharing would hamper U.S. counterterrorism efforts. "It is hard to be totally comfortable with instructions to the FBI prohibiting contact with the United States Attorney's Offices when such prohibitions are not legally required," White wrote on June 13, 1995, in a memo reported Friday by the New York Post's Deborah Orin. "The most effective way to combat terrorism is with as few labels and walls as possible so that wherever permissible, the right and left hands are communicating," advised White, who was then in the midst of prosecuting the 1993 World Trade Center bombers. According to Orin, however, "White was so upset that she bitterly protested with another memo - a scathing one" - blasting Gorelick's wall of separation.

While the former Clinton official and her fellow 9/11 commissioners have so far declined to make the second memo public, the Post reports that White used it to warn that Gorelick's wall "hindered law enforcement and could cost lives." The 9/11 Commission omitted any mention of White's scathing second warning to Gorelick from its final report. "Nor does the report include the transcript of its staff interview with White," the Post said. The revelation that the 9/11 Commission covered up White's full account comes on the heels of news that Gorelick's wall may have prevented the FBI from learning that lead 9/11 hijackers Mohamed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi had entered the U.S. and had been identified by military intelligence as terrorist threats a year before the attacks. In 2005 Rep. Curt Weldon, who uncovered the Atta-al-Shehhi revelation, complained: "There was no reason not to share this information with the FBI, except that the firewalls that existed back then were so severe that they wouldn't let these agencies talk to one another."

If you don't believe me, here is a copy of that memo.

Giuliani on 911
One of the main reasons I am voting for Giuliani for President is that he attended nearly every single Fire Department funeral for those that lost their lives on 911 (there were over 300 of them). Hillary (the B*tch) Clinton attended none. A little known fact is that he was almost killed on 911 when the South Tower collapsed. During the first World Trade Center bombing in 1992 (and Bill Clinton's non-response to that event) the City of New York decided to build an emergency command bunker for the Mayor, located in Building #7 in the Towers plaza. Mayor Giuliani was in that bunker when the first tower fell, critically damaging Building #7 (which eventually collapsed several hours later due to increasing fire damage). He and his staff were actually trapped for a time in the building as most of their escape routes were either blocked or destroyed. One of the main reasons Building #7 was chosen was its' independent power system, a number of large diesel generators located in several different sections of the building, being fed by a diesel pipeline which ruptured and caused wides-spread fires within the building. Giuliani barely escaped with his life, just minutes before the North Tower collapsed. In his biography, "Leadership", he personally asked President Bush once bin Laden was captured that he would like to execute him himself. I like this man. After narrowly escaping death on 911, I am sure that Rudy Giuliani will fully prosecute the War on Terror to the fullest of his abilities and his track record as Mayor of New York City speaks for itself:

Murder reduced by 2/3rd
Overall crime down by 57%
Shootings down 75%
Robbery fell from 83,883 to 32,213
Burglary fell from 100,933 to 38,155
Theft fell from 111,611 to 35,673
A 93% reduction in inmate-on-inmate crime in the city's jails
Zero-tolerance for drunk drivers led to seizure of 4,000 cars
90,000 illegal guns taken off the street
Organized crime removed from key industries such as trash carting and food distribution
Businesses saved $600 million a year from this "mob tax".
Over 600,000 people taken off the welfare rolls.

Larry Craig: Cruising While Republican

The Suicide Hand
Both the Democrats and Republicans have been dealt a suicide hand in the upcoming Presidential elections in 2008, and the reasons are "The Three Rules" (from 1960):

The first rule is that no Democrat from outside the old Confederacy has won the White House since John F. Kennedy. Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton were all from the Confederacy. Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis and John Kerry were from way outside the Confederacy. Al Gore was from the Confederacy but lost, proving that this is necessary, but not a sufficient basis for a Democratic win. The reason for this rule is simple. Until 1964, the American South was solidly democratic. In 1964 the Deep South flipped Republican and stayed there. If the South and mountain states go Republican, then the Democrats must do extraordinarily well in the rest of the country. They usually don't do extraordinarily well, so they need a candidate that can break into the South. Carter and Clinton did it, while Johnson did extraordinarily well outside the South.

The second rule is that no Republican has won the White House since Eisenhower who wasn't from one of the two huge Sunbelt states: California or Texas (Eisenhower, though born in Texas, was raised in Kansas). Nixon and Reagan were from California. Both Bush presidents were from Texas. Gerald Ford was from Michigan, Robert Dole from Kansas. They both lost. Again the reason is obvious, particularly if the candidate is from California -- pick up the southern and mountain states, pull in Texas and watch the Democrats scramble. Midwestern Republicans lose and northeastern Republicans do not get nominated.

The third rule is that no sitting senator has won the presidency since Kennedy. The reason is, again, simple. Senators make speeches and vote, all of which are carefully recorded in the Congressional record. Governors live in archival obscurity and don't have to address most issues of burning importance to the nation. Johnson came the closest to being a sitting senator but he too had a gap of four years and an assassination before he ran. After him, former Vice President Nixon, Gov. Carter, Gov. Reagan, Vice President Bush, Gov. Clinton and Gov. Bush all won the presidency. The path is strewn with fallen senators.

That being the case, the Democrats appear poised to commit electoral suicide again, with two northern senators (Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama) in the lead, and the one southern contender, John Edwards, well back in the race. The Republicans, however, are not able to play to their strength. There are no potential candidates in Texas or California to draw on. Texas right now just doesn't have players ready for the national scene. California does, but Arnold Schwarzenegger is constitutionally ineligible by birth. In a normal year, a charismatic Republican governor of California would run against a northern Democratic senator and mop the floor. It's not going to happen this time. Instead, the Republicans appear to be choosing between a Massachusetts governor, Mitt Romney, and a former mayor of New York, Rudy Giuliani. Unless Texan Ron Paul can pull off a miracle, the Republicans appear to be going with their suicide hand just like the Democrats. Even if Fred Thompson gets the nomination, he comes from Tennessee, and while he can hold the South, he will have to do some heavy lifting elsewhere. Unless Obama and Clinton self-destruct and Edwards creeps in, or Paul does get a miracle, this election is shaping up as one that will break all the rules. Either a northern Democratic senator wins or a northeastern Republican (excluding Thompson for the moment) does. The entire dynamic of presidential politics is in flux. All bets are off as to the outcome and all bets are off as to the behavior of the new president, whose promises and obligations are completely unpredictable.

Cruising While Republican
If you've just returned from your Labor Day vacation and are scanning the headlines from last week's newspapers – don't panic! America is not threatened by a category 5 hurricane named "Larry Craig." Despite the 9/11-level coverage, Larry Craig is merely accused of "cruising while Republican." There is nothing liberals love more than gay-baiting, which they disguise as an attack on "hypocrisy." Chris Matthews opened his "Hardball" program on Aug. 28 by saying Larry Craig had been "exposed as both a sexual deviant and a world-class hypocrite."

Mexico Invades America
"Mexico does not end at its borders. ... Where there is a Mexican, there is Mexico." That astonishing claim by Mexican President Felipe Calderon, in his state of the nation address at the National Palace Sunday, brought his audience wildly cheering to its feet. Were the United States a serious nation, Calderon's claim that Mexico extends into the United States would have produced an instant demand from the U.S. ambassador for clarification. Failing to receive it, he would have packed his bags, and the United States would be on the verge of severing diplomatic relations.

In an earlier time, U.S. troops would be rolling to the border. (MORE)

The Lessons of Saddam's WMD Policy
What are Iran and North Korea up to with their nuclear weapons programs? After dealing with the Iraqi "nuclear threat" for over a decade, that's worth considering. Iran and North Korea are in quite different situations than Iraq before 2003. Up until early 2003, the conventional wisdom was that Saddam had WMD, and just would not give them up. Some thought Saddams strategy was dumb. All he had to do was let the UN inspectors do their job, get Iraqi out from under the embargo, and then reconstitute his WMD. What no one brought up was what Saddam was actually doing. He was pretending to have WMD in order to keep the Iranians at bay. Horrendous casualties from Iraqi chemical weapons had forced the Iranians to end the 1980s war. The Iranians still wanted Saddam's head on a pike, and Saddam saw his imaginary WMD as a primary defense against Iranian attack. This did not come out until after Saddam was out of power, and some of his key aides could talk. Saddam kept the real situation (no real WMD programs) secret even from most of his closest aids and military commanders. Saddam trusted very few people. His deception worked, but got him killed anyway because the scheme backfired. But Saddam could not afford to keep his WMD program going while all those UN inspectors were around, and the embargo was choking his cash flow.

Iran apparently wants nukes for national pride, and to assure their continued status as a regional superpower. Iran cannot upgrade its conventional military forces, so it needs one powerful weapon, like nuclear warheads, to back up its threats and demands.North Korea also requires nukes for national survival. But, unlike Iran, North Korea does not have oil wealth, or a market economy. North Korea is a basket case in so many ways. Nukes provide trade bait, to extort financial, material and diplomatic payments from neighbors, and the United States.Iran seems determined to build nukes, having no reason to back down. North Korea is in a desperate economic and social situation, and appears willing to give up (or sell) its nukes if the price is high enough. Most negotiations with North Korea are now, basically, over what this price will be.

All of that is the conventional wisdom. But as was recently seen with Iraq, the conventional wisdom can often be very misleading, and fatal to a lot of people.

Robot Wranglers in Big Demand
The growth of combat robot use in Iraq (from 126 in 2004, to over 4,000 now), has resulted in a huge demand for troops trained to use, or, as some put it, wrangle", the bots. Most soldiers require only a few hours of training and using the robot to be ready for combat operations. This is largely because the robot controllers are based on video game controllers. Most troops grew up with video games, and have no trouble getting used to a new controller.

Hundreds of the robots are assigned to training areas in Germany, Kuwait and the United States, where soldiers are trained before sent off to the combat zones. Troops are eager to use the robots. The word has gotten around that the devices work quite well, and save lives. Most of the bots are used to check for roadside bombs, but increasing numbers are used by the infantry (to check out caves, bunkers and dark, dangerous places in general) and for guard duty.

Operating a bot is no longer seen as a rare skill. Now, the goal is for every platoon (a unit of about 30 troops) to have several qualified robot operators. Most of the bots are one of four different models (MARCbot, PacBot, Talon and the Mini-Andros).

The U.S. Army is ordering another thousand combat robots for use in Iraq and Afghanistan. The U.S. military already has over 5,000 of these small (40-130 pound) robots in service. Most are used to deal with roadside bombs. But combat troops are increasingly using them for battlefield reconnaissance and guard duty. These robots come from several suppliers (iRobot, Foster-Miller and Exponent Inc are the largest.) The army is also considering buying another 2,000 robots over the next five years. Because of their use in Iraq, the robots are now a permanent part of the U.S. armed forces, and new models are under development.

Terrorists Declared Defeated
The government has declared victory over Islamic terrorism in Indonesia. There have been no major attacks in the last two years. Also, the Islamic terrorism directed at Indonesian Christians has all but disappeared. This violence killed about 10,000 people between 1999-2002. As a result, as part of the celebration of Indonesian independence, about half of the 139,000 people in prison had their sentences reduced. This included hundreds of convicted terrorists. Most of the reductions were measured in months, but it upset many in neighboring Australia, which has lost over a hundred citizens to terror attacks in Indonesia.

Islamic terrorists have been largely shut down in Indonesia by a combination of good police work, and public opinion turning against the Islamic radicals. While a large minority of Indonesians favor Islamic radicalism, not enough of them are willing to back terrorism. There was a largely unseen (outside of Indonesia) civil war between the traditional Moslems (who incorporate many pre-Islamic religious customs and ideas) and the Islamic conservatives (heavily influenced by Wahhabi missionaries from Saudi Arabia.) Many of those Islamic radials who were not killed or arrested, fled the country. Some ended up in the Philippines and Malaysia, where they continue to be pursued. There are still dozens of Islamic terrorists in Indonesia, but they spend most of their time avoiding arrest.

Islam: Three Strikes Your Out

Islam: Three Strikes Your Out
The violence in the Islamic religion has waxed and waned over many centuries and unfortunately the fanatics are radicalizing the rest of their brethren, I believe mainly because they sense weakness in the moral fiber and will of the West. In a way, Islam is very foolish to take on the powers that annihilated the radicals in WW2 Japan and Germany. Apparently they have a very short memory of how we int eh West can fight. Since 1979 the radicals in Islam have been attacking the United States and our European allies but now it is time to take the fight to them.

You see, when a civilization straps bombs to women and children in order to blow up their enemies, destroy entire schools with hundreds of children in them (Beslan, Russia) and kill people who are attending funeral services, there is little we can do to stop them. Just killing people who want to kill us won't work much either, because they believe that when they die they will go to heaven. So how do you fight a person who wants to die?

The real problem is the way people in the West think about terrorism. Practical terrorists, with whom we have long struggled, may behave savagely, but they have tangible goals and a logical approach to achieving them. They view their own deaths as a misfortune, however necessary or noble, and not as an embrace of the divine. These sorts of terrorists are rarely suicidal and do now view death and destruction as goals unto themselves. There usually are lines the practical terrorist will not cross--some groups they wish to protect, certain tools he will not employ, some self-imposed limitations upon the scale of their actions. It is extremely unlikely that such a terrorist group would employ biological or nuclear weapons, although they might make limited use of chemical weapons. They want to rule people and the cities they live in, not wreck them. These sorts of terrorists are of lesser strength, and are always the terrorist of lesser menace. The apocalyptic terrorist, however, is lost in a nightmare.

Apocalyptical terrorists are different from their secular counterparts (the practical terrorist) in the following ways: they tend to act out of intensely personal disaffection and a sense of alienation from social norms, while the practical terrorist is more apt to feel driven by group grievances. The apocalyptical terrorist "wants out" while the practical terrorist "wants in". The practical terrorist imagines himself as a representative of his people, while the apocalyptic terrorist sees himself as chosen and apart. Practical terrorists believe that mankind can be persuaded (or forced) to regret past errors and make amends, and that reform of the masses is possible (although a certain amount of coercion may be required). But apocalyptic terrorists (such as Osama bin Laden) are merciless. Practical terrorist may see acts
of retribution as a tactical means, but apocalyptic terrorists view themselves as tools of a divine and uncompromising retribution, and they don't mind dying for their beliefs. The Islamic world's acceptance of apocalyptic terrorists as heroes is perhaps the most profound indicator of its spiritual crisis and decay, and no matter what Islamic governments may say to please us, many millions of Muslims around the world felt tremendous pride in the atrocities in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania. Apocalyptic terrorists cannot tolerate any debate or dissent--all divergent opinions are a direct threat to his mental house of cards; as seen in the way Sunnis treat the mildly divergent Shias. They have convinced themselves that our way of life is satanic and that we are the enemies of their religion and their God. They do not understand the reality of our society or our daily lives, and they do not want to understand. They can live among us and they see only evil. They need to hate us, and their hatred is the most satisfying element in their lives. Death and destruction delight them. They cannot be reasoned with or appeased. No human voice can persuade the man who believes God is speaking in his other ear. Apocalyptic terrorists must be destroyed. The real problem is that they don't mind dying, so we in the West need to put something of value to Muslims in jeopardy, something more than their women and children (which they don't mind sacrificing), something tangible and real world, and I have the answer:

DETERRENCE
You see, one of the very few things that Muslims hold sacred (and important) is their holy sites. Several years ago, after the 911 attacks here in
America, I came up with the idea of threatening Mecca if we are attacked with Islamic radical nuclear weapons or other weapons of mass destruction. I am glad to see that idea begin to spread among leaders of this country (especially Tom Tancredo) because it is truly the only leverage we hold against Muslims. They are very willing to die for their faith, but their holy sites are open to threat and this deterrence is possible. During the Cold War we threatened the Soviets with nuclear annihilation if they attacked our European allies. Today, the very same principle may help the West halt any further serious Muslim attacks. With the Muslim Three Strikes Law, we can threaten radicals who want to kill us with destruction of the things they hold dear. The first site to be destroyed if America is continually attacked should be the Dome of the Rock.

DOME OF THE ROCK
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

A sacred place to Muslims, the Jews have been chomping at the bit for decades to remove the Dome of the Rock from their former Temple Holy Mount, and we should give them that opportunity if a nuclear device is detonated in America. We need to make clear to all Muslims that we will do exactly that. The United States military will destroy the Dome of the Rock, Islams' third most holy site, if America is attacked with weapons of mass destruction. I believe that this sort of detente will work. The Muslims know that the Jews want the Temple Mount back badly and I believe that they will stop their attacks if we make it clear to them how high the cost will be if they continue.

SHRINE OF FATIMA, QOM
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The second strike should be against the Shrine of Fatima in Qom, Iran. This site is sacred to Shiite Muslims and if they refuse to police their own people then we will enforce our rule of law on them. Muslims are determined to attack civilians here in America, and the example of Beslan, Russia (where Muslim radicals attacked a school and killed hundreds of Russian children) should remind Americans just how ruthless our enemies really are. Destroying cities in America is their main goal and we should make it clear that if they try, they will suffer the consequences. Muslim radicals do not fear death so we need to make them fear something else, something important to them, and their holy sites are just the sort of thing that the US can eliminate if we are attacked again.

MECCA, SAUDI ARABIA
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The third strike should be the holy site in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. We need to make it very very clear to Muslims around the world that the will of the United States is not failing, that we carpet bombed Nazi Germany and nuked Japan's cities, and we are more then capable of doing the same to their countries as well if we are attacked. Again, these attacks would only come in response to a Muslim WMD attack on the United States and would be the decision of last resort, but we mean business. We need to show the Islamic world that the West is not as decadent and weak as they think, that we are not push-overs who are ready to turn tail at the slightest hint of casualties. They must fear us because that is really the only thing that they respect; someone who will hit back. Finally, it is one of the many ironies of history that the worlds' two great religions have swapped places over the last half millenium, with Christianity breaking free of medieval intellectual and social repression, while the once effervescent world of Islam has embraced the comforts of shackles and ignorance.

"...Republican presidential hopeful Tom Tancredo says the best way he can think of to deter a nuclear terrorist attack on the US is to threaten to retaliate by bombing Islamic holy sites. The Colorado congressman on Tuesday told about 30 people at a town hall meeting in the state of Iowa that he believes such a terrorist attack could be imminent and that the US needs to hurry up and think of a way to stop it. “If it is up to me, we are going to explain that an attack on this homeland of that nature would be followed by an attack on the holy sites in Mecca and Medina,” Tancredo said at the Family Table restaurant.

And he is absolutely right.....

My Own Private Idaho

Why I voted for Larry Craig and would do it again
In watching my Livejournal "friends" blog, I ran across some really despicable posts from gay men over the whole "Larry Craig Affair". Now when I was living in my home state of Idaho I voted for Senator Craig many times; I thought he did a good job representing Idaho and he didn't promote anything radical that Idahoans would get pissed off about. As a Western state, Idaho is filled with people who mind their own business and expect others to do the same. The people there could hardly care less if someone is a homosexual, they just don't want to hear about who is boinking whom. However, after seeing some really rabid posts on Livejournal I decided to post my thoughts, especially since I was from Idaho and had actually voted for Senator Craig (apparently none of these other bloggers had voted for the guy, sheesh).

One of the things that these loose-screw bloggers said was that if he was gay, he should be tarred-and-feathered for not voting pro-gay on issues that have come up in the US Senate. I don't believe that opposing gay marriage, gay adoptions and wanting to keep gay folks out of the military if you are gay is being hypocritical. One of the things that sets conservatives apart from their totalitarian opposites (the Democrats) is that we can think one thing and yet do another if the majority wants it. You see, Larry Craig was my senator. I am from Idaho and voted for him numerous times. I am proud of the fact that even though he may be gay, he doesn't impose his beliefs on the vast majority of Idahoans. That's called Democracy. I personally do not support "gay marriage", although I do support civil unions. I also think that a very large majority of gay men do not support gay marriage as well, since they never want to get "married" and have some former lover run away (legally) with all their "stuff". At least that is what I have heard from numerous (and random) gay men in the bars and other social events.

Not support gay rights nation-wide does not make me a "hypocrite", it just means I think differently than the mainstream. I do not support gay adoptions either, nor gays serving openly in the US military; both for very good but lengthy reasons that I will not espouse here. The real hypocrisy is that Larry Craig cannot figure out his own sexuality, even in his latter years...and that is sad. The witch-hunt that the liberal Idaho Statesman has done on his is really terrible too but what more can you expect from Democratic supporters in the media.

Also, I think have sex outside of your bedroom is a little weird, but my mom says I am being a prude, that people have been having sex in their cars for years, and I should get over it, haha. And she doesn't even like gay men!

Finally, physically beating people up for not believing they way you do (like LJ member poetrytoweasels is proposing) is despicable! We need more diversity in this country, more people thinking differently and not less, than everyone thinking and acting the same like some giant Borganism group mind. I think that poetrytoweasels should be really horsewhipped for even thinking that others should be horsewhipped for their beliefs.....nuff said.

PS: I am all for throwing out gays in government as long as the gay Democrats get throw out for being homos too. Kidding, just kidding....;)

Ripping Out Hotel Bible Sections Against Homosexuality

AUKLAND, NZ, August 30, 2007
British Actor Ian McKellen who has used the mega-stardom he achieved playing Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings films to promote homosexuality, has admitted to ripping out pages of hotel bibles that refer to homosexuality. In an August 10 interview on New Zealand's TV1 Close Up program McKellen was confronted by the interviewer questioning the truth of the rumour "He's the one, that when he stays in hotels rips the part of the bible out that criticizes homosexuality." "Yes it is true," responded McKellen in even tones. "Its Leviticus 18:22 that I object to, or is it 22:18, I've always got to look it up. Thou shalt not lie with a man as with a woman, it is an abomination. And they, I think the punishment for an abomination was being stoned to death," he said. McKellen added, "I think it's rather obscene and pornographic, and shouldn't be there, so I remove it." Asked how many bibles he has vandalized, McKellen replied, "I have no idea, but other people do it as well, people send me evidence that they have been removing that." McKellen has been vandalizing bibles in the same fashion for at least a few years. He first admitted publicly to the activity in 2004 in an interview with the UK Telegraph.

Ironically, the genius behind the story which gave McKellen his current pedestal - J.R. Tolkien - held that homosexuality was a disorder and was a staunch defender of traditional Catholic teaching on sexual morality. Tolkien's thoughts on human sexuality are most clearly represented in his personal writings. In Tolkein's letter to his then-21 year old son Michael, he warned that illicit sexuality is one of the prime dangers for souls. "The devil is endlessly ingenious, and sex is his favorite subject," he wrote. Tolkien was very aware of the hardships of remaining faithful in marriage, but recognized that in only in God's plan for marriage can happiness be found.

(What an odious little toad this man is. I can just see it now; the very first thing this "Gay Taliban Man" does when getting to his hotel room is riping apart the nearby Bible. Excuse me sir, but that is someone elses' property! "Oh, I respect other peoples' property, he replies, as long as you are not religious". Why does this guy tear out sections of the Bible he hates? Does he think he knows better than everyone else? Why not let other people decide whether they believe what the Bible says or not? This is why people like Ian McKellen and the Afghani Taliban are so much alike; they don't want people reading things that they object too. Ridiculous, absurd, and stupid.)

Why Language Matters
There is a crisis brewing in the sleepy European country of Belgium, and its' all about language. There is a rising sense of separatism in Belgium. Ever since the elections a few months back, the Flemish (Dutch speaking) and Walloon (French speaking) governments have gathered to make a new government. But as expected, the Walloons don't want to work with us, again. If they're so keen on joining France, they should just say so. A poll on a newspaper's website said that 45% of Flemish people wants to seperate from Wallony. Over 70% of people in Holland have told to be interested in joining Flanders with Holland. We are talking about actually splitting an over 150 year old country into two. This country is also obviously centralised around Brussels, which is the core of our national and international transport infrastructure. It is the beating heart of our economy, with the Stock Exchange building right in the middle. Banks have their main office there and so do a lot of major international companies. What would happen to Brussels? Join it with Flanders, or with Wallony, or make it a miniature state, such as Andorra, Monaco and San Marino.

It's just that I'm disgusted by the sense of pride these people still have, they think their language is highly sufficient to live in this country. While our children, also me in the past, are learning to speak French in school, starting at an annually lowering age. The Frenchies only just started giving Dutch class to their children, and also near the Flemish borders and in Brussels. Even in Brussels, children were taught French only, for a very long time, until recently. While Brussels, though it's a community of it's own, with it's own systems and borders, is actually surrounded by Flemish, Dutch speaking territory. I might actually boycot speaking French in Brussels from now on, because it disgusts me that there is hardly any commercial place in Brussels where more than one employee speaks fluent Dutch, if there already is one (rare). Also at my job, where I will continue speaking French, I'm the only Flemish employee. What to do? Maybe the best option IS indeed to join Holland. And let the Walloons join France, with whom they share character. It is true that lots of people are very proud of being Flemish. I think that's only ignited because of they way Wallony ignores that we actually pay them a lot of money, that we could've used to make our lives easier. Even if it's just 10 euros a month of all the taxes we pay. And for anything we do, we have never ever received a well meant 'thank you.', at least not to my memory. By Krisculo.

Duke Rape Prosecutor sent to Jail
Details here, and good riddance! This whole case was nothing more than a prosecutor trying to impress local blacks, throwing a bunch of innocent white guys who suffered death threats from local Black Panther groups. Completely un-American.

Why I like Really Tom Tancredo
GOP presidential hopeful Rep. Tom Tancredo (Colo.) said Friday it is “time the taxpayer gravy train left the New Orleans station” and urged an end to the federal aid to the region that was devastated by Hurricane Katrina two years ago. “The amount of money that has been wasted on these so-called ‘recovery’ efforts has been mind-boggling,” said Tancredo, who is running a long-shot presidential campaign. “Enough is enough.” Citing administration figures, the lawmaker said that $114 billion has been spent on the effort to rebuild a large stretch of the Gulf Coast after the storm hit New Orleans in August 2005 and claimed more than 1,600 lives. “This whole fiasco has been a perfect storm of corruption and incompetence at all levels,” he added. (I live in Colorado).
